Forum: How to Start Homeschooling

Topic: What About Recordkeeping?

Description : Keeping records is an important part of staying organized as a homeschool family. Your state may require report cards, attendance records, or final grades – and even if you’re not legally required, it is a good idea to keep them on hand anyway. These records will assist in tracking your child’s progress, and help to determine whether or not your method of teaching and curriculum are the right fit for your family. There are many free gradebook and report card templates available online to help take the stress out of record-keeping! Some online curriculum programs will even record your child’s attendance and grades. If your high-schooler is interested in applying to college, you can (and should) absolutely create your own high school transcript.
